In the wake of the global pandemic, educational institutions have faced unprecedented challenges. Among the various changes, one crucial aspect that was temporarily halted was the operation of free clinics within schools. However, as the world gradually recovers from the pandemic, the return of free clinic activity in schools is being warmly welcomed.
This year’s 130 recipients ranging from 3 – 10 years are from the underserved and vulnerable residents in the different communities within SMAD under the Sacred Heart Parish. It was participated by fourteen doctors and nurses, fifteen volunteer employees, and five medical representatives from Unilever Philippines and Intermed Marketing Philippines, Inc. Medicines are given free including bone scanning and hemoglobin count. This project brings together dedicated members of the school community like parents and alumni who are healthcare professionals, teachers, staff, and other volunteers.
As schools welcome the return of free clinic activity after the pandemic, they signify a commitment to prioritize student health and well-being. Through collaboration, inclusivity, and a holistic approach, schools can truly make a difference in their constituents’ lives, contributing to the overall betterment of society as a whole.
