On September 8, 2022, three acclaimed members of the Stella Maris Academy of Davao received the “Child of Saint Candida” recognition.
The Child of Candida commendation honors Stella Maris Academy of Davao community members who have exemplified remarkable imitation of a distinct Saint Candida value. Each month, a certain Mother Foundress value is emphasized.
During the month of August, the honorees exemplarily demonstrated the Saint Candida value of being Christ-centered. The commended personnel are Ms. Mary Rose Torres (from the Staff), Mrs. Christia Gem Tagi (from the Grade School Department), and Ms. Patricia Leigh Gonzales (from the High School Department). The recognition certificates were presented by Mrs. Annabel Palarca (Human Resource Officer), Sister Dina Galaura, F.I. (Grade School Principal), and Mr. Luis Arrangoso, Jr. (High School Principal) respectively.
On the solemnity of Mother Mary’s birthday, the recognition was held at SMAD Chapel. It was hosted by Ms. Welina Lavizares, Subject Area Coordinator of Christian Living Education and Head of the Ad Hoc Committee on Discernment, and attended by some faculty and staff.
